Chausey lighthouse incorporates a lighthouse lodge at the Grande-Île of Chausey (Manche). The light proved to be indispensable because of the numerous islands and islettes making for hazadous navigation.

Construction was of large stone rock extracted from quarries on the island. The structure constitutes a square tower built at the rear of the keeper's accommodation and control block. This facility was completed with a fog horn placed 80 m from the building. (horn 1 sound / 30 seconds).

The keepers would also manage the Granville light, the Agon Point lighthouse and various other navigation lights.
